Blogs can be a power house for your business in the long term if you keep adding valuable content weekly.
I know what you’re thinking, that you will run out of ideas for your blog. I’m going to show you an easy way to stay on top of what people are looking for and how to keep coming up with ideas to write about in your blog every single week.
First things first, don’t get caught up in making it perfect. People get crazy about getting it perfect and thinking they need to make sure the wording is perfect, maybe you want a perfect photo for the blog post and a perfect signature line at the bottom, with the perfect key words.
People get stuck on the perfection of their post and end up spending 3 or more hours on a blog post and then they quit blogging because they think it takes too long. It doesn’t. It usually takes me about 30 minutes to come up with and write out my blog post. Stop getting caught up in making it perfect and just let it be real and simple.
OK, now with that out of the way, here are 3 Tips on How to Never Run Out of Content Ideas For Your Blog:
- Google Keyword Planner. This a very cool free way to find out what people are searching for on Google. Go to adwords.google.com and then go to keyword planner under tools. Or just do a google search for the keyword planner. Basically you can search in your niche and see what other people are searching for. For example, if you type in the word weight loss, it will show you what people have been searching for pertaining to weight loss. So if you are in health and wellness, you could use this tool to figure out what you should blog about that pertains to that particular subject. I did this earlier today to use as an example and it brought up these: how to lose weight, lose weight fast, diet plans, weight loss supplements, recipes for weight loss, and others. Keyword planner is a good place to start for ideas.
- Google Trends. Another good way to get ideas for content is google.com/trends. This will tell you what is trending right now on Google. You can search different terms related to your niche to find out what others are talking about online and get ideas from them. This will help you know what is popular right now.
- The simplest way to find what to write about is to learn from other people. There is nothing new under the sun. So learn from the leaders in your niche. Follow other blogs in your niche and see what top leaders are blogging about and which types off posts are getting the most views and likes right now. If you are in health and wellness, then follow and learn from leaders in health and wellness. Take their blog ideas and make them your own. Don’t plagiarize, but take pieces and put into your own words. You can google blogs in your specific niche. If you are in a company that sells makeup look up beauty blogs and so on. If you want to blog weekly, then sit down at the beginning of every week and research for a few minutes, read blogs on what it is you want to write about that week. Then, get ideas and convert those ideas into your own words.
The important thing is to just get good, relevant, valuable information out there and you will see your blog and your audience start to grow.
To your success,
